Keep Reading ... It was in 1977 that the Adopt-A-Gran program through Help the Aged (Canada) began. But it wasn't until September, 2001 that Brenda Packer - red hair, freckles and a passion for the cause - joined the team at our Ottawa office. It was then that Brenda became the new sponsorship coordinator for our Adopt-A-Gran program. Our latest kiosk event was Friday, Feb.9, 2007 at the National Archives in celebration of Black history month. Local organizations that work and volunteer in Africa and the Caribbean, including HTA, were invited have display promotional material.
